License plate check tecnology

This article talks about having a type of technology that can scan many of license plate number at once to track anyone who has or maybe be apart of a crime. In the article their are multiple arguments of how this can envade peoples privacy for the simple fact that the police will know where you were every secound of the day and this can interfer with your life. This Arrticle discussed on how this type of technology would be very expensive to use and that this could be a wast of time and unecessary.

Future plans: A tool to recognize faces
The State police will soon have the latest face-recognition technology. They are now expanding surveillance camera network's to screen entry and exit airports, railway stations, stadiums, and key government offices and etc.. for people with criminal or terror links. Senior police officers say "the technology is likely to be implemented first at the landmark Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple here and later at other locations, including vital establishments vulnerable to sabotage in Kochi and Kozhikode. " The technology will enable law-enforcers to track and capture single or multiple faces when people enter or exit important institutions through access-controlled channels covered from all angles with cameras. This type of technology is a good strategy for finding criminals, but it also seems like with this type of technology people would have to register themselves somehow for the police to find who's committed a crime or not. With this type of technology it can go either good or bad.

Interview
http://youtu.be/_RYAQbvghdw
Interview:
As I was talking with Dr. Fredrick Zenhousern a professor in medical science, he discussed on how to solve crime faster with better technology using DNA. Scientist at university Arizona have developed a rapid DNA field testing machine that can go in the field of military and police dectectives. They want to be able to solve crime in just a couple of hours instead of fourteen days because in that amount of time more crimes can be committed.
Me: Is there anything new for trying to solve crime with DNA?
Dr. Fredrick Zenhousenr: "DNA samples will now be sent to a specialized catridges and no longer sending samples to a centralized labrotory, the reason why is because it takes longer and it can possibly damage the DNA."
I learned from my interview that scientist are trying everday to imrove solving crime and each day techonology is getting better.

Apps for crime??
Today in our world you can downlaod apps onto your phone, computer, and almost any hand held device to find out info of what is going on in your neighborhood and what kind of people are living in your area. These apps can tell you how many people have commited crimes, such as if they went to jail or prison or if they are a sex offender. These types of apps can trace the people living in your neighborhood and can tell you where the people stay. Apps like this can help be more cautious of our surroundings, but I also think that these apps can also cause a problem depending on how people use these apps the right way.
Introduction
My project is on how "Technology is resolving crime". Everyday there is a crime committed and because of the help from technology we are able to solve it faster, easier and it is less of a hassel. Crime solving has drastically changed over time. For example back in the 1970's solving crime wasn't as easy as it is today, and also people where able to get away with the crimes they did back then. Every day technology is changing even this exact hour. There are always constant changes and ways to solve crime. So in my project I will be discussing the type of technology we use, the amount of time spended on solving crime, how is technology better today then it was back then, and last but not least what can be improved or better on solving a crime.
